Second Semester
During second semester you will post your weekly blogs and continue to log your tutoring hours. You will also need to select a book about education with the help of your cooperating teacher. You will be required to blog a short summary of each chapter. The summary just need to include the main idea(s) of the chapter and whether or not you felt it was helpful to you personally (i.e., was it easy to understand, was it something you could use as a cadet teacher). If you need help selecting a book, please see me and we can find one that will work for you.
End of Semester
Please make sure that you hand in your tutoring logs - the logs are part of your grade and you should have at least 25 hours. You can turn them in to me in my office on Monday or Tuesday, January 3 and 4. If I am not there, Mrs. Keller will take them and give them to me. You also need to have your weekly blogs completed through December. This should be done by the first week in January!!!! You do not have to blog the first week in January. Have a great Christimas Holiday!

End of Quarter
Everyone's postings have been done. Remember to keep posting weekly. Your tutoring logs will be due by the end of the semester - the week before. Those can be given to Mrs. Keller in the library if I'm not here. I've enjoyed reading everyone's postings. Lots of hard work, but a bit of fun as well. Thanks again for your help with the students who need a little extra time!

First 6-Week Grading Period
Thanks everyone for being so prompt with your jounaling and your autobiographies. Your autobiographies were outstanding!!!! I was very impressed with your writing skills and with the thoughtful ways in which you responded to the questions. Way to go! Remember to keep your tutoring logs up-to-date; they will be due a week before the end of the semester - you will have to turn them in to me or, if I'm not here, to Mrs. Keller in the library. She will make sure I get them. Your grade for the next grading period will be based on your journals and the rubric score given to you by your classroom teacher. Keep up the excellent work!

Second Semester
Welcome back everyone! And especially those of you who are just beginning second semester! Hope finals went well!! Just a reminder about second semester: tutoring logs must be turned in by seniors by May 1, juniors have another week; you and your cooperating teacher need to select a book about education and you need to summarize the chapters in the book on your blog - label these "Chapter One Summary" , etc. You also need to continue blogging/journaling your classroom activities and reflections at least once a week. Don't forget you can also include pictures if you would like to do so. If you have any questions, please come by the office - I'm usually here on Mon-Wed. all day. I will, however, not be in at all from Jan. 14 - Jan 27. I will be here on Jan 28 and 29 and then my scedule will be Mon-Wed. If you need help setting up your blog, contact one of the other cadets (Beth Thompson just set up hers following the instructions in the manual). Sorry for any inconvenience!
