For those of you who have been successful in getting your blog up and running, I congratulate you.  I am am difficulty in following any one because of the changes in the formatting.  i am working on it - I will let you know when I am successful. 

We're coming to the end of the school year.  Most everyone has their posting and summaries completed.   Thank you.  Don't forget to hand in your tutoring logs by Friday, May 11!!!  Thanks for such a great year!!

Book Summaries

I wanted to remind you that your chapter summaries do not have to be long and detailed. I would like just 2-3 sentences that give an overall view of what you read . Label these by Chapter ( Chapter 1, 2 3, etc.)). You need to make sure you have a weekly blog about what you are doing in the classroom. Your tutoring logs need to be turned in by May 1 at the latest!!!! I have gotten very positive comments from your classroom teachers!!! Keep up the good work and enjoy interacting with your students!

Blogging/Summaries

This has been a quick first term!! Please make sure you are posting weekly and that you are posting your chapter summaries (short and reflective) in a timely manner. I will be checking in with each of you over the next quarter. If you are a senior, remember that everything needs to be to me by May 1 - posts, summaries, tutoring logs, attendance waiver forms, intent to access forms! Have a great weekend!

Welcome to semester two!! Keep up the posting and make sure you are tracking your tutoring hours on your logs. Remember that you must have a book about education - one that a teacher would read - and that you need to blog the chapter summaries. Give the name of the book and author, make sure your summaries are short (general statements) and that one sentence is about how you feel about the material you read (i.e., It was interesting to know that there are so many ways to teach reading; I actually used one of them today. OR This makes me understand how hard teaching is.) Everyone had such interesting blogs last semester so keep up the good work. Thanks for all your hard work. The teachers really appreciate your help and the students do too!!!!!!

Dear Cadet Teachers, The semester will be over before you know it - don't forget to turn in your tutoring logs before or right after Christmas so you can get credit for them for this semester's grade. Some of you need to catch up on your postings. Those of you who have kept up with your postings - I'm really impressed with your dedication to the students you help in the classroom. It's hard not to get attached, but it's all right to be a little sad that you are leaving either at the end of this semester or at the end of the year. Thank you for all that you are doing. I know that the teachers you are helping really appreciate everything that you do!!! Merry Christmas!
